  3. Few flowers speak of summer as hydrangeas do. There are people around here who call them 'porch geraniums.' They do make you want to just sit in the shade and sip iced tea.

  4. @Sage Butterfly--I hope you get more blooms soon! The temperatures have warmed up quite a bit in the last 2 weeks and that helped mine open.

    @Hanni--Thanks, I like blue best too. I've been trying to get the blooms to turn blue by adding special fertilizer to the soil, but the blue blooms aren't consistent.

    @NellJean--Never heard "porch geraniums" before--that's interesting! Oh, I do want some iced tea now. :)

  7. Your blooms are beautiful. Mine are just starting to open. I transplanted them in the fall and crossed my fingers but they seem to be doing fine.
