Almost Wordless Wednesday

{100-degree heat yesterday. This is what the plants looked like when we got home.}

{Heart shaped tomato (sort of)}

{Bee on a Black Krim blossom}

{Cucumber plants bursting through fence}

{six bush bean seedlings instead of the five I originally thought}

{Zucchini and yellow squash on the vine}

  1. I put my tomato in a self-watering pot I bought pretty cheaply at Lowes and it's made a huge difference. I still water a lot but not as much as I have in the past. That squash looks delish. If you check out Diane's Texas Garden on my blogroll, she posts great summer veggie recipes. I love the pix of the escapee cucumbers. :o)

  2. Hope the weather gets better and your tomato gets more water. Everything else looks yummy!

  3. Today was so much better in D.C.! Hope your plants have recovered.

  4. @SageButterfly--we did get better weather today. It felt like September instead of August.

    @CasaMariposa and cgoodson51--Today WAS much better 'round these parts, wasn't it?

  5. poor beleaguered tomatoes...mine have been drooping in hot weather too, especially the container ones. your squash look so good!
