Rain and Ice

Last weekend finally felt like winter. We had rain, light snow, and a little ice.

Is winter going strong where you live, or is it on its way out?

  1. Here in north Texas we had a touch of snow last Sunday night. It was on the grass for an hour or two. I love snow and had hoped for more, but I've been out in the back 40 (that's just a bit more than 40 feet of garden) and noticed that everything has buds, so I'll let the snow wait until next winter. I'm ready for spring.

  2. So hard to tell. I would have said it is going on and off with cold and snow but recently the ground appears to have thawed and the grass is growing...understand we have 4 weeks of hard winter weather left but I think is is now going out...we shall see

  3. Wintery mix last Sunday but some warm and beautiful days through the week. It's drizzly now with a chance for showers through tomorrow...YAY! I like your little patch of snow under the tree. That is just the right amount!

  4. I'd say winter is over here...but I don't think we actually had a winter!

  5. Not much of a winter here, either. Just some light freezes, and now it's rainy and cool - but spring is coming!

  6. You gave me a little shiver. We have had some freezing temperatures and lots of rain, but not at the same time. So no snow or ice for me. I say, just let spring happen!

  7. winter's barely hit us at all. i've been wearing skirts and long-sleeve shirts pretty much all winter, i hardly ever need a coat. it did snow a bunch one day recently but it melted almost immediately after.

  8. I've given up on winter! But I was happy to see our windchill last weekend was only 1 degree. At least we had a few days of cold. But I think spring is almost here. I'm starting my ground cherry seeds in a few weeks. Yay!
